The Social Connection
We raised $1,724.03!

By Joanne Cipriano, Social Connection Director

  JUNE 4, 2012 --

I wish I could pick a date and time and tell all of you to pat yourselves on the back all at the same time.  That’s what you all deserve from the great response to our statewide Tag Sale.  As of this writing, I have (not an official total- but a grapevine total) $1,724.03.  We still have some money yet to come in.  Quinebaug Pomona, making the largest amount of $549.00.  What a good job.  Special thanks to Joan Perry, the Chairman of their committee.

Can’t report on our Phil Prelli Roast as it is two weeks away and two weeks before I write the next article.

Save the date of Saturday, September 15th.  This is the date of our next activity.  Place:  Prospect Senior Center.  This will be a Competitive Night, competing the Pomonas in the East against the Pomonas in the West.  Theme “Cowboys and Indians.”  Refreshments will be hot dogs and beans plus a dessert table.  All for the low price of $5.00.  We will also have a Country Store to help defray the cost of renting the hall.

Don’t forget to get your “Granger of the Year” applications in.  Send to Director Joanne Cipriano, 393 Piedmont Street, Waterbury, CT 06706.
