Hank's Hankerings: Easy Fall Apple Crisp

Fall is the perfect time to head to your local orchard for apple picking.  This recipe is perfect for Grange potlucks and refreshments.

 

Easy Fall Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

1 C. flour

1 C. sugar

1 stick butter or margarine

6-8 apples, diced (enough to fill an 8x8-inch pan)

cinnamon sugar mixture (1/2 C. sugar + 1 Tbs. cinnamon)

Mix flour, 1 C. sugar, and butter with a pastry cutter until well-blended. Place diced apples in an 8x8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. Cover with flour mixture and bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
