Women's Activities Projects
Covenant To Care Project
  FEBRUARY 2010 --

Our project for the year is to work with Covenant to Care, a statewide organization supported by many churches and civic groups as well as individuals. This year we will be having a baby shower of gifts for infants and toddlers.  Any items appropriate to that age group will be welcome and may be brought to State Session in October 2010.

We will also continue to accept "Comfy Covers" for children of all ages.

We hope each Grange (or two or more Granges working together) will help with this good cause.

Covenant to Care, Inc. (CTC) is dedicated to improving the lives of Connecticut's abused and neglected children through the acquisition and distribution of community resources, mentoring, and foster and adoptive family recruitment.

Altogether, CTC serves over 30,000 children and youth annually. Many of the children and youth CTC serves suffer from abuse, neglect, impoverishment, emotional distress, homelessness, or are at risk. Others are in need of foster and adoptive care, or are in foster and receiving homes, and independent living centers.

Information and additional details may be obtained from any CWA person.
