| DECEMBER 10, 2025 -- Our November contra/square dance had a good turnout. It was advertised as being our last dance due to the small attendance for the last year.
Our new Community Service project this year is Wreaths Across America. On December 13th at noon, we will be helping place wreaths at the Cornwall Cemetery that is located at 24 Cemetery Hill Rd in Cornwall Ct 06753. Please come and join us, volunteers are needed to participate in the ceremony. We also donated $340.00, that is enough for 20 of the 165 wreathes to be placed. This month we also donated
$1000.00 to the Cornwall Fire Department. They are raising money for two new trucks. They are an instrumental part of our community, not only for Cornwall but Sharon, Warren and the other surrounding towns. These brave men and women not only battle fire, rescue victims, provide back up where needed but do so much more for the community. We are happy to help them get the tools that they need.
We are starting to prepare for our annual cookie exchange. We are asking Grange members to make 4 dozen of the same cookie to bring to our next meeting on December 11th. (meeting and refreshments start at 7pm). We will be making up over 30 plates this year to give to our local food pantries and to our brothers and sisters who are housebound. You are all invited to participate and if you have any questions, you can call Debbie Hanlon @845-418-9755. We will also be having a gift exchange ($15 limit), this is optional. Bring a wrapped gift and have it marked brother or sister or either. If you bring a gift, you get a gift.
We are looking forward to the first volume of the Grange Book that will be about the history of the Grange. For our Grange we will be pre ordering four books. One we will donate to the Sharon Hotchkiss Library and one to the Sharon Historic Society. The other two are for our Grange with one to be kept in our Grange Hall and the other one will be used for our Grange booth that we set up at different events and fairs that we go to.
We wish you all a wonderful and safe holiday season.
