Recipes and Contests

MARCH 2010 -- I'm sure that many of you have heard about the cookbooks that are going to be sold in the Grange Building at the Big E. This year's book will be "Soups, Salads, and Appetizers" but more recipes are needed so that the book can be published for sale at this year's fair.

Off and Running

FEBRUARY 2010 -- We are off and running for the new year of CWA work! Materials and instructions were given out at each of the four regional meetings in the late fall. There are a few changes in our programs, burt we keep the basic things pretty much the same.

Women's Activities Projects ...

The Women's Activities Committee coordinated many projects for each Grange to undertake throughout the year. These projects include the Country Store at the New England Grange bulding, monetary donations, working with Foster families and more. For information on these projects, please visit the following:

Duties of Pomona Chairman ...

1. Attend a regional conference with State Committee.
2. Make a short report about the committee work at each regular Pomona meeting.
3. Promote all contests and projects of the department.
4. Keep Subordinate Granges informed of our program and visit the Granges in the Pomona as often as possible.
5. Assist the State Committee when asked (example: Provide gift for the special fundraiser.)
6. Send annual report to the State Director before September 15th.
Duties of Subordinate Chairman ...

1. Report at each regular meeting (short, but informative.)
2. Explain and promote all department contests and projects.
3. Put on a program (or part of a program) for the Lecturer pertaining to our work.
4. Cooperate with other departments, encourage your Grange to contribute to the monetary donations of the department and do some small thing to enhance your hall or meeting place.
5. Send copies of the annual report sheet to your Pomona chairman AND State Director before September 1st.
