OCTOBER 2, 2025 -- On Sept. 11 we were pleasantly surprised with 3 friendly and helpful guests from the Mele family. They came out from Whigville Grange in Burlington which is just around the corner from Simsbury. We look forward to going out to visit them in the coming months. Thanks for coming out our way, Kim, Vin and James!
On Sept. 21 we had a great crowd for our much anticipated presentation by AARP on the Fraud Watch Network. The presentation by AARP was very informative and everyone enjoyed the free gel pens and refreshments. There were several important take aways including the fact that 18-34 year olds are most often affected by fraud.
On Sept. 25th we co-hosted a For All Ages event called Tea @3 at Simsbury Yarns. This 12- week program tackles loneliness by pairing a college student with a 55+ adult. Participants knit or crochet a tea cozy for this great program. Check out this link for more information. https://forallages. org/tea-at-3
