Grange Let's Celebrate Day to be held June 9th

The sixth annual Connecticut State Grange Let's Celebrate Day will be held Sunday, June 9th beginning at 10:00 AM at Cheshire Grange Hall, 44 Wallingford Rd. (one block east of the Town Hall), Cheshire.  Admission to this family-fun event is free, and parking is free.

The event will feature contests and displays including needlework, baking and crafts, photo and publicity, in both the adult and junior categories.  There will be many games and activities for the whole family to enjoy.  The day will also include an entertainment program by the Connecticut State Grange Lecturer Marge Bernhardt that will feature the Talent and "A Number" competitions, and a non-denominational service by CT State Grange Chaplain Barbara Kulisch.

Contest entries will be received on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Cheshire Grange Hall before 9:00 AM for judging. 

The Youth and Family Activities Committees of the Connecticut State Grange will be serving a Luncheon beginning at 12:00 noon. Tickets will be available at the door.

The many departments and committees of the Connecticut State Grange have been working together for over a year to ensure this event is a success.  

The Connecticut State Grange has been an integral part of rural and non-rural communities across the state for over 125 years, with nearly 60 local Grange chapters in Connecticut.  Local Granges are committed to bettering their communities through service projects and family orientated activities.
