Northeast Grange Lecturers’ Conference Details

By Marge Bernhardt, CT State Grange Lecturer

  JUNE 3, 2013 --

The 98th Annual Northeast Grange Lecturers’ Conference will be held at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven on August 5, 6, & 7, 2013.  Connecticut is hosting and we still need volunteers.  I am looking for someone to assist with luggage when people arrive on Monday and leave on Wednesday.

My thanks to Gordon Gibson for volunteering to be our Registrar.  Information on the conference should be in all Granges.  If you haven’t heard it read, ask your Lecturer or give me a call and I will send you everything you need to attend.  We have to stick to the July 10th deadline for registering as I have to get all the information to the college.

Joan Perry will be in charge of refreshments after the evening programs.  She did such a wonderful job the last time CT hosted I just had to ask her again.  Why not call her and offer to bake or make sandwiches or even buy something she needs.  Don’t make her ask you.

Our program will be Monday night.  The theme of the conference is “Community Spirit” and our program is Health Care.  We have a mixture of comedy and some very serious issues.  I still have parts to fill.  Why not give me a call and volunteer?

The conference has taken on a different look this year.  This was a financial necessity as we wanted to keep the cost affordable for everyone.  We are focusing on a good time in addition to a learning and sharing experience for all.

Hope to see you in New Haven in August.
