March 2018 News From Harmony Grange

By George Ward

  March 8, 2018 --

March 9: Regular Meeting at 7:30 P.M., Ref. at 6:30 P.M. Lecturer’s Program to be announced later.

Harmony Grange had a very, very successful Christmas Fair on Dec. 2 at the Grange hall. Although the hall cannot be reached directly from Route 110 because of the construction of the roundabout, the attendees found the hall, thanks to the placement of signs, directing them to the hall. The success of the Fair can be contributed to the many hours spent in the preparation for the fair. The better the preparation, the better the success of the fair.

At our December meeting, those responsible for the Fair were honored with a cake. At the same meeting, our newest Past Master, George Ward, was honored for his long service to Harmony Grange and part of the cake was decorated to him.

Harmony Grange is still negotiating with the State of Connecticut for the taking of the Grange property in the construction of the roundabout. We have legal counsel and expect the final payment to be made soon.
